Autograph letters signed from C.J. Mathews to various recipients [manuscript], 1848-1874?

(1) Dated February 13, 1874 and addressed to Mrs. Lewis [i.e. Kate Terry]. Mathews mentions possibly seeing Mrs. Lewis on the street but not recognizing her until later; (2) Dated April 17, 184[8?]. A short note: "Coming directly." Addressed "Dear Sir." Below this note is another on from Argyle Street, "date above. Thanks." Signed from R.K. Lane. (3) Dated Friday and addressed "Dear Roxberry." He is starting for Birmingham on Thursday 14th of September.
